Child Support Noncustodial Parent Employment Demonstration (CSPED) Evaluation: Weighting Specifications

The CSPED impact and benefit-cost analyses made use of data drawn from both administrative data and follow-up surveys conducted with study participants. Outcomes based on administrative data were available for all noncustodial parents who enrolled in the study, but outcomes based on survey data were available only for sample members who were randomly selected to be in the survey sample, were located by the survey data collection team, and responded to the follow-up survey. To account for this, the CSPED Evaluation Team developed survey weights for the analysis of survey-based outcomes. This working paper discusses how the Evaluation Team constructed these weights.
