Introducing the Annual Survey of Refugees Public Use Dataset

Wednesday, October 31, 12:00-1:00 pm EDT

Please join the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as they present on an exciting new data source to understand refugee self-sufficiency and integration in the U.S. during a webinar hosted by the Urban Institute. This is first time the Office of Refugee Resettlement is making available to researchers a public use data file from the Annual Survey of Refugees (ASR). The file provides data from the 2016 ASR, which has information on a nationally representative sample of refugees who were resettled in the U.S. between fiscal years 2011 and 2015. The data file and documentation are available now through the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR). The webinar will provide information about what is included in the data file and what you need to know to be able to work with it effectively. There will also be ample opportunity to discuss questions.
