The Child Support Demonstration Evaluation (CSDE) project is an evaluation of the child support "full pass-through" experiment carried out by the State of Wisconsin as a part of the new W-2 program inaugurated in September 1997. The Institute for Research on Poverty evaluated outcomes of this experiment for entrants to the W-2 program from September 1997 to July 1998. The evaluation was based on administrative data sources that provided information on participants and related family members prior to and after their entry into the study, for a four-year period. The information gathered from administrative data sources was supplemented by surveys of resident parents involved in the W-2 program and of the nonresident parent of one of their children.
