IRP Recruiting New Faculty to the UW

IRP is pleased to announce an opening for a new University of Wisconsin–Madison faculty position (open rank) in poverty studies. The position is part of the UW Chancellor's interdisciplinary cluster initiative in Poverty Studies (http://www.clusters.wisc.edu/clusters/show/39). The Poverty Studies cluster is designed to foster innovative, outstanding research programs that will stimulate productive interactions among faculty and students interested in poverty studies across the campus and expand interdisciplinary research in poverty studies.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain a vigorous, cutting-edge, highly visible research program; advise graduate and post-graduate research in the area of poverty studies; develop and maintain extramural funding for their research program; and teach graduate and undergraduate courses or develop new courses in their area of expertise, as appropriate. Faculty hired under this initiative have primary faculty appointments in campus departments or graduate school units participating in fields related to poverty studies, and will be affiliates of the Institute for Research on Poverty.
